Really slow download speed

All these days i used to get about 185kbps download speed for both firefox downloads and torrent. But now i get only 40-50 kbps in both torrents and firefox downloads. Al the torrents i tried were highly seeded too!!! PLease help me

What kind of internet connection do you have?

BSNL Broadband 900 Unlimited.Connection to the PC via. LAN cable. When I checked the speed at speedtest.net ,first the speed rose upto about 1.26mbps but the next second, it dropped down to about 0.50mbps.....!
