Hi,

I have a Sony Desktop that in the documentations is limited to 256mb RAM.

I can use more. Can I populate the slots with more memory (2 * 254 MB)?

Upgrade Configuration for: SONY Model: VAIO PCV-R545DS

System Memory
Standard Memory: 64/128MB R
Maximum Memory: 256MB
Memory Expansion: 2

Thanks,

Ted

It is based on the structural design of the chipset. So if the chipset can handle more than your Vio will be able to also. A friend of mine has one and he bought a secong stick of 256MB PC133 for it.

I hope this helps...
