I'm shopping around and trying to get a few items for under $550 US. I'm just wondering if there would be any problems with the folowing components. SHould I go with DDR Ram or a different MO-board?

Yes! by all means buy DDR. It is worth it and current prices are pretty good. I recently ordered a Kingston DDR 512MB PC2100 stick for $111.00 delivered for a Chaintech motherboard that has both DDR slots and PC133 slots. With two 256MB PC133's in this system it runs OK, but the same system with the DDR memory it runs much smoother and faster.
