460 seems to do better according to vga charts, but i heard ti 200 was a better card. any feedback greatly appreciated.

Stay away from the GF4 MX series cards, they do not support DirectX 8 and above, or Open GL, between the choices the GF3 TI 200, or 500, is hands down a better choice, and you can purchase online for about the same money through. http://www.pricewatch.com I'm not giving you this advise from some article I've read, even though I have read articles on the cards, but from my own hard learned lessons. Hope this helps Ryan.

Both of the GeForce 3 cards outperform the GeForce 4 MX460. THG's own figures:

3DMark2001, DirectX8, XP Pro, 1024x768/32-bit/85Hz
GF4 MX460 6139
GF3 Ti200 6550
GF3 Ti500 7783

Max Payne - Shooting Alex, DirectX7/8, XP Pro, 1024x768/32-bit/85Hz

GF4 MX460 71.8fpc
GF3 Ti200 73.4fps
GF3 Ti500 91.3fps

Personally, I'd go for a GeForce4 Ti4200. Scores of 8882 and 101.1fps are possible with the 128MB version.
