I have a D-link DIR-825 router broadcasting wifi networks on 2.4 and 5 Ghz. My PC can detect and connect to the 2.4 GHZ no problem, but it can't seem to detect the 5 GHZ one.

My laptop and my cell phone have no trouble detecting both networks. Thoughts?

PC is brand new, asus p8z77-v mobo, using the NIC that comes with that which is atheros AR9485 chip I believe? I updated drivers for it last night, no effect. The PC is about 5-6 feet away from the router so there should not be any range issues. Not really sure what's goin on, anyone able to shed some light?

Thanks

The wireless NIC in your PC is a single band 2.4GHz only part.
