Lexicon MPX550 woes

I have an MPX 550 that I have only used in my smoke free studio. I
really like this box, but all of a sudden it will only power up to a
lit blank screen and none of the buttons function. Usually all of the
buttons are lit but sometimes it is just the "load" and "tap cancel"
buttons that are lit. Anyone have any thoughts? It is a few months past
warranty, so lexicon wants me to pay a 100 bucks to get it fixed! A little
steep I think for a 400 dollar box, especially considering it is only 5
months past warranty Thanks in advance!

PS I tried the hard reset (power up while pushing bypass - no luck!
