Hey guys, I want to try out windows 7 64bit except I dont want to dual boot. Any compatibility issues with hardware? I have an Asus P5QL-E mobo and I want to make sure all of the asus features, drivers and programs work with it.

Shouldn't be a problem, you should install Vista drivers in Windows 7 if needed.

I've installed Win7-64bit on my Asus N80VN (laptop) and I think all of the hardware was covered; I might have had to install a driver or two from Asus. Overall I was quite impressed with the hardware compatibility.
One caveat - this laptop only has drivers for Windows Vista (no XP support) so I couldn't say how your motherboard would fare. I'd still think it would be fine if there are Vista drivers for it (which you may not even need).

Same with me; all I had to install was a bluetooth driver, and an updated synaptics touchpad driver for my HP laptop. Installation was almost "too" easy. So far, apps that didn't work in Vista run great on Win7 64-bit.
