I have the same question. In the last two KT400 articles, the say that CL2 is months away. I have in my hand Corsair PC3200 CL2 from Spartan Technologies. I guess they just made an assumption. I can't wait to see the benchmarks against KT333 after they find this "elusive" memory.

If you would read some articles posted here, you'll find that no one needs more than PC2700 DDR...so why the hell are you going and buying PC3200 ???

I did read them. All benchmarks of THG are at CL2.5. There are no benchmarks comparing PC3200 to PC2700 at CL2. And the fact that PC3200CL2 does exist and is not, in fact, "months away", doesn't exactly boost the credibility of the authors.

There's a $20 difference between 512MB modules in PC2700CL2 vs PC3200CL2. Maybe it's a waste of money. For $20, I'll take the chance.

I will grant you that if I ever add another DIMM, it is a waste of money, since it will be throttled down to 333. I didn't know that when I bought. If I buy another DIMM, I will make sure to buy PC2700 so I don't waste any more money. But with one DIMM, I don't think it is a waste because I think that PC3200CL2 will turn out to be faster than PC2700CL2 once THG tests it that way.
