T3 Alarms Question

Hello,

On my previous Palm Pilots when the alarms went off I would have to
hit "o.k." or "snooze" for an alarm like a birthday. On my T3
sometimes they show up and sometimes they don't! The alarms are set as
I see the alarm icon next to the appointment.

Any suggestions?

Jim

I've never had this problem with my T3, and neither have I seen the
problem in your other posting (Graffiti switching modes by itself).

There is a problem with your unit.

Have you done a cold reset? Is your ROM at the latest version
(downloads available at palmone.com)?

I have come from a Vx to a T3 and, while the desktop software imported
alarms and all Date Book information the alarms went pretty wierd.
For example an alarm set for an event with no start time (a birthday
for example) went off at 1 minute past midnight, rather than the
"start work time" , 8.30am in my case. If you read the manual this is
precisely what it is meant to do and is why the birthday system was
introduced in Contatcts so it would alarm at your start day time, not
at 1 minute past midnight.

You will probably find that you will have to re-enter all events which
do not have a start time. If they are birthdays then you use that
facility. If they are other events you need to put in an artificial
start time, say 8.30am.

Annoying but there it is.

Hope this helps
