I'm simply looking to upgrade my pc in a way that will allow me to conveniantly watch VHS video on my PC. I'm guessing there is a type of PCI card I would need to get that has a video in. Maybe I should have gotten the ATI-All In Wonder but at the time I built this system I didn't want to sacrifice the processing power and opted for a faster video card that only had s-video out. Anyway, I'm just looking for the component that will fullfill the sole purpose of receiving video over an RCA line.

Hauppage do a range of cards/USB devices which allow you to watch TV on a PC. However, in my experience, the USB devices aren't that good. I still use an Aims Labs Instant TV. This allows me to watch TV/video on my monitor without the PC being switched on. Having a dual-input Sony monitor, I can quickly switch between the video and PC. Although the InstantTV isn't around anymore, check out the AverMedia Joy TV
