Hi

If there is no switch it probably means the drive is corrupt or damaged

Since Sandisk is a major brand it may mean you have a fake made from reject flash memory.

if Cheap and high capacity this is more likely to occur

can you read the data on the drive. ?
if so copy the files off onto other media and look at them to see if they are corrupt
