CD Wont boot from Boot Device Menu

Hi all,

I am doing an upgrade from XP to Windows 7. I have done this numerous times with no problems until today. I put in the disc for the upgrade and loaded the Boot Device Menu (F12). Then I selected Onboard or USB CD-ROM Drive and I can hear the CD spinning but it does nothing. It wont load and the 'Onboard or USB CD-ROM Drive' option stays highlighted. I just installed XP doing this exact same method because I installed a new harddrive and I had no problems. It only occurred once I put in the W7 disc. any ideas?Thanks!

well if the f12 option doesnt work try setting the boot order process to cd first followed by the hard drive

your boot device is cd-rom only or dvd-rom because the win7 disc is DVD.

if the boot device is DVD-Rom you need to check it work or not. Also you can use USB drive to install the win7. If you don't know how to do just search google.
