Thanks for the response. Does hard drive differ based on windows version or any other thing. Where can I get a hard drive for cheaper?

Thanks again to brett and rdc.

The HDD different price depends of the class, speed, and size not the OS it will be used with (Win/Lin/etc..). for speed and size better speed is higher, bigger size (GB) will be higher the price but often cheaper in price/GB.

Class usually enterprise grade or consumer grade, enterprise grade could be 2x or 3x the price of consumer grade one. (but better reliability).

The price of HDD almost similar everywhere... (as i know) go with better service/warranty.......

as u using Laptop be sure to buy HDD for Lappy............
