okay, im running Windows XP Pro and i have the Supra Max 56i in comm port 3. all fine and dandy. i also have the latest drivers for the modem. it works fine but it seems Windows XP does not. sometimes when i boot up and connect to my ISP i hear the moem speaker...odd considering i disabled it. so i check in the control panel and sometimes Windows decides to see a "Best Data Fax Modem" in another comm port and default to that one, as well as showing the Supra max in comm port 3 disabled....but there's nothing else is any port besides my TNT 2 Ultra. normally a reboot makes it disappear but it gets a little annoying. anyone know why its doing this?
