I've been given a used Cingular Motorola 120t that I'd like to use to
replace my old AT&T Nokia 5160 (AT&T U.S. service). Is this possible
and what hardware/software would I need? Thank you all for your help!

You would have to have the phone reflashed.
But even if you did. That ESN would not be in AT&T's data base, therefore
they would not allow you to activate it on their network.
