Yea , Usenet is pretty much fading away , people are turing to blogs
and website message boards. Or Instant Messaging.

It's this way all over , except for maybe the political newsgroups.
And the some celebrities newsgroups seem to move fast also.

Overall usenet is slowing down. People just are not using it.

I've always disagreed with this point of view , I see it the other way
, I see a bunch of little cry babies who get upset when someone post
something they don't agree with or like.

This is one reason why people like the cult like atmosphere of message
boards over unmoderated usenet.

Boo Hoo , I don't like your topic , I don't agree with you , and so
on....

On a website they can always call out their ghey moderator friend ,
out here on usenet you just have to deal with it.

And that's the way I like it.

There are websites that have little to no moderation also , but most
are cult groups with heavy moderation.

Actually I am heartened that you took my comment in good spirits........

This is exactly the format I would like to see discussion groups
in where people can post what they like, and for the most part
you do have to live with what people say and get used to it....

No running off and crying to the list owner for help. But in most
cases people on the whole are well behaved and polite and it's
more fun when forums are unmoderated.

On the other hand I can related to the obsession comment as that happens
to me in other forums..... The sad cunts who obsess are just sad cunts

No, no... don't sugar-coat it. Tell us how you *really* feel. :)
