i just started getting an error: power calibration error. only with a new pack of great quality cds, only at 24x, 12 is fine. i tried a couple tdks and they work fine at 24. is it possible i just got a bad batch of cd-rs? neros help said either there is something really wrong with the drive or to try different media.

how do you shoot the devil in the back? what happens if you miss? -verbal

Sometimes you just get a bad batch of CD's. I've seen it happen many times. If you get two bad batches change your media brand.

Some drives act a little funny with certain brands of media due to their production technique. Changing your media brand is usually the best fix.

What brand of CD-RW and Media is giving you the problem(for personal reference in the future.)

great quality, must be a bad run, i bought two 50 packs at the same time, one of the 50 packs i burned every one no problem. but i opened the other pack and i started getting errors. oh well, i only paid 9 bucks for them.
