for those always winning about not wanting to give money to
the retail middle man you can do it with this game cause
techland sells it also directly so put your money where your
mouth is

Why are you even telling people that they can avoid rewarding that
retail channel you love more than pc gaming?

so things like you stop giving the "more profits" for
developers excuse to promote steam
steam fanatics like you love to say steam is good cause
this way you can give all the money to the developer
and none to the middle man retailer when the truth is
others besides valve are doing the same without the need
to use abusive systems like steam
you want to buy directly from the developer so you can
reward only him? ok fine but NO YOU DON'T NEED STEAM
FOR IT
you can buy directly from the developers like techland
with no need for steam
and there are many other developers that sell directly
like techland with no need for steam
but the very important difference between techland and
valve is valve FORCES YOU TO BUY FROM THEM creating a
MONOPOLY in pc games and techland give you the option
to also buy there own titles in other places like retail
stores
as for me i do prefer to buy games in retail stores
that's my choice but i do respect others wanting it
different
lets respect diversity
lets maintain diversity
lets defend competition in the pc game market
that's the important message
competition and no acceptance for monopoly which is exactly
what valve with steam doesn't want
down with valve!
down with steam!
long live pc games monopoly free!

You sir, are a complete idiot.
The closest I have EVER come to being a "steam fanatic" is telling
you that it is Valve's choice how to distribute their product. If you
don't like it don't buy it.
I didn't, but that doesn't give me the right to try to tell Valve
what to do.

Good for them.

I do if I want to buy directly from valve. Much in the same way
that I'd expect to be buying an Xbox if I really wanted to play an
Xbox only game. Since I'm not willing to go that far to play a Xbox
game, they won't have my business. But I'm not about to tell a
company that they should be required to make a Windows version just
because I'm not going to buy an Xbox.

I do it mainly as a timewaster, when I've a few minutes to kill and
don't have time to start something working on a serious project I'll
fire off a few posts to Usenet. difool is amusing at times, I'm just
wading through the chaff.
