How to enable sound in windows 7

Give these two commands a whirl by opening tne "Run" command. They open the sound properties to your system:

Sounds and Audio = mmsys.cpl
Sound Volume = sndvol

You can also look on your keyboard for a mute key for your sound. Generally looks like a speaker with a line going through it. Let us know what you come up with. Can also check the Device manager to ensure the driver hasn't been disabled by accident. You may also open this from the Run command:

Device Manager = devmgmt.msc
