5 Button Mouse Medal of Honor

Hi
I have been playing medal of honor for a while. I have a Kensington 5
Button Mouse. I want to use the other 2 side buttons in my game. The
problems is that nothing happens when I click these buttons in the
keyboard setup section in MOH. I tried installing the Kensington
Mouseware and assigning a button to a key etc. It worked but my mouse
response suffered drastically so I had to uninstall the mouseware.
Is there a way to fix this without mouseware?
Is it possible to asssign the mouse properly in the new Pacific
Assault?

Any help would be most appreciated
