Hey all,

I have a question about using MS OUtlook and my v600 phone. I have
bluetooth on my PC, and noticed that there is a service for PIM data
provided by the phone. Can I synch data from Outlook to the phone using
this, or do I need to fork out $$ for the Motorola software to do that?

Cheers!

On my V600, the only way to sync appointments is to individually send
them thru BlueTooth to the phone. Not very handy...

And by the way, although the tme is set correctly on both the PC *and*
the phone, the appointment transferred to the phone is set 2 hours
*before* the correct time.

Is it because I live 2 hours ahead of GMT? (Paris zone)

and also, MPT brings no windows when clicking on Calendar but rather
brings back Outlook 2003 instead...

Yes, I have found that. Even though I am in the GMT zone, my PC has an
adjustment for daylight savings. Unless I edit the file before transfer, my
appointments are only accurate in winter!

Transfers in the other direction (phone to PC) aren't affected (for me):
this may be because the incoming vcs file from the phone doesn't have the
"Z" time suffix and the PC doesn't make any adjustment. Does this work for
you?

Never tested but obviously, the main purpose of syncing is to get the
appointments from the PC to the phone with no effort rather than the
reverse option.
