HP printer

Hello,
my HP printer works from daughter's identical computer but says printer is turned OFF when I run the troubleshoot. It is ON I uninstalled printer yesterday- worked with it 3 hours - it printed - today it will not print from my computer again??

Are these computers & printer networked together or stand alone systems ?

Are you just arbitrarily unplugging the USB connection from one computer and plugging into the other while computers are already on ?

with windows it a know glitch with hp printers that sometime windows will load two printers. one will always be off line (ghost) and the other will be the correct active printer. just print a test page to each printer the one that works is the one you set as the default printer.
