Hello,
I need a fat hard drive, like about 60-80GB, but the MOST important feauture to me is quality and reliability of it, because the only thing that I will use it for will be mp3 storage. I don't care about transfer rate or RPM, since any ATA100 has more than enough speed for mp3 access and convertion. Does operating temperature and RPM are the key specs for me? I already have WD200BA and WD200BB. Any reccomendation on which hard drive is the best for mp3 storage (non-server)? Thank you in advance.

P.S. I can afford Western Digital JB-series, but they seem to be unnecessarily too fast for my purpose, and too hot.

I believe the WD JBs also have a 3yr warranty. Not 100% on that, mind you. Better check it out.

If your really worried about data security and integrity, you may wish to consider RAID 1.
two same capacity drives, the second an exact duplicate of the first.
