I've dug out my copy of Mission Critical (old DOS game by Legend) and
have run into a crash bug on deck 2. According to a few sites I've
managed to find, there was a patch for the game that fixes this
problem, but I haven't been able to track down a copy of it online.

Anyone know where I can get hold of the patch? I found out Legend got
folded into Atari/Infogrames, but I guess the game's too old as it's
not listed in the available patches.

Sorry for the double post. My ISP's usenet server must not like my
post for some reason as it's showing up on the google-groups archive,
but not on the local server. At the time, I thought it just wasn't
posting.

If that is your only problem, you don't need the patch. Just use the F8
key before leaving the elevator on Deck2. If I remember correctly, this
will turn off smooth scene transitions. Once out of the elevator, you
can use F8 again. This will prevent the crash.

Thanks. Game-Nostalgia was nice enough to send me a copy of the patch
for that game, and it seems to have cleared up the issue. I'll keep
your suggestion in mind if something similar crops up later in the
game.
