I have a V300 from T-mobile.
I love the Phone, its great.
I got the Motorola phone tools software so i can
manage it, download ring tones etc.. etc..
it took a while to get the software to finally recognize the
phone but i did manage it after a few try's.
the software works, EXCEPT for reading the
Multimedia section, its supposed to show folders
where i keep all my ringtones, photos etc.
has anyone else run into this?
Im using a cable i got from radio shacktypical Motorola connection.

The cable may be the problem. I originally got one of the software specific
(can't think of the name this moment, but it's a whole package) cables that
are available almost everywhere. I had exactly the same problem. Got an
official Mot cable and the problem went away.

My cable is a radio shack. Figures.
Is your phone the V300 also?

Yup. Works like a champ since I got the real cable. I don't know what the
difference might be, but there must be something. A pin that needs to be
grounded? Something.
Good luck
