Hi,

I'm having constant lag spikes. I use DPC Latency checker http://www.thesycon.de/deu/latency_check.shtml

On both my desktop (using PCI wifi card) and my laptop I have lag spikes. This is a screenshot of the spikes http://i.imgur.com/cyoLq.png. Although it says its my hardware problems, I doubt its true, as it happens on both devices.

As a gamer this is truly irritating.

Do you have any idea how to fix this problem?

Run this again using a wired connection.

It is highly likely you have a interference issue on the wireless. It can even be your own machine interfering with each other. Games constantly send data which is one of the worst things you can try to do on a wireless. Wireless only allows 1 machine at a time to use it but it depends mostly on luck to determine which particular machine can use the service.

I don't have a problem using my Sony wireless BDPS 3100 in the same room as my 4 wired/wireless WIN XP computers, however when I go upstairs I can't get the signal on my other Sony wireless at more than about 28 Mbps even tho the wireless signal from my comcast modem/wireless router is broadcasting at 115 Mbps. This causes frequent lag spikes which are very annoying. No repeater I have will accelerate the wireless signal to the Sony. One possible solution would be to run a CAT 5 cable to the modem. This I can do by running the CAT 5 parallel to the existing disconnected cable from the upstairs room to the modem/router.
