I have the old MS-DOS CD's from 1992 for The 7th Guest. I remember
that I could put the 2nd CD (installation and bonus music tracks) and
it would kick right off and start playing the music tracks. Now with
Windows XP it recognizes all the files perfectly, as usual, but the
music track is completely missing. Doesn't even realize there's
something there besides the install files. Can anyone help?

NT4/2K/XP NTVDM mscdex driver is pretty broken, you'll need to download
Sapucdex in conjunction with VDMSound for proper sound support under
Windows XP.

Download the latest ver of VDMSOUND here:
http://vogons.zetafleet.com/viewtopic.php?t=2071

It already includes Sapucdex.
