I couldn't get to the download on GameSpot without signing up, so I
went and looked for another place. I chose the BitTorrent download at:

target=PsychonautsDemoInstaller.exe

(On one line, of course.) That gave me a good download speed, too.
Currently 134 KB/s!

This is copied from the demo's readme:

So you won't be able to play it until you've upgraded. (Sorry.) But
I've now played through the demo and I can report that it met my
expectations. Considering that I like good platformers (Rayman 2 & 3
are among my favourite games) I really think this is a game for me.
Judging by the demo, it looks good, sounds good, plays good and is
just as fun as you'd expect if you've been reading doublefine.com for
a while.
