I disconnected all my periphrials from my computer (which is home built using a k7vza motherboard) because I had to evacuate for hurriane Isadore. When I got back yesterday and reconnected everything, I had a hard time connecting my keyboard (microsoft natural pro)into my ps2 port. Finally I got it in but when I turned on my computer it would not recognize it was there and the lights on the keyboard dont light up either. I tried connecting it to the USB port but all it says is that the installer cannot be run and to contact my hardware vendow. I am running xp pro. any ideas?

Physically difficult to connect? Sounds like you've bent a pin on the connector.. D'oh!

Try the keyboard on another computer.
