Could anyone recommend a better Address Book program for the Palm? The
biggest thing that annoys me about the build-in one is the fact that you
can't sort by first name. I keep mainly friends in there, and it's really
confusing to have to remember to search by last name for some, and by first
name for others (the one's I didn't input the last name for). I don't want
anything more complicated than the standard Address Book, just this extra
feature. Oh, maybe the ability to put in a home and work address. But
that's it. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Harry

Look for the freeware program "address uno"
on freewarepalm.com. It has this very same feature
that you require - and it's the same reason I use it.

Try SuperNames. It'll do multiple addresses, etc., and sort any way you
want it to.

It doesn't let you sort via First Name, does it?

It has a fairly neat way to handle the issue. Setting the default to
Smart Lookup handles the search intelligently.

Here's a quote from their manual:

"Using Smart lookup, you can lookup records based on the First Name,
Last Name, or Company Name, without needing to re-sort the Address
Book. You can also lookup a record using a combination of First Name
and Last Name.

When you start to enter a name in the Smart field, the first matching
record will be selected, and the matching characters will be
highlighted.

You will see a list of records whose First Name, Last Name, or
Company Name matches the entered text. You will also see records
where the first letter of the First name and beginning letter(s) of
the Last Name, match the entered text."

Its better with pictures. Take a look at the section in the manual
<http://www.phonemagic.com/handb.htm#lookup>.

This is the feature that really sold me on this app.
