Can the router connect to modem wirelessly?

Well I'm deployed and I managed to get a Roku device to keep me entertained through the deployment. Unfortunately, I only have a router with no modem or internet outlet in sight of my barracks room. I do know there's a WiFi connection for the whole building, but the Roku device refuses to use that because of a proxy website that prevents it from connecting. Hope I'm not outta options!

do you have a laptop that can connect though the proxy?

if so see if ICS (internet connection sharing) on you laptop will allow to Ruku to connect when the Ruku is connected via ethernet cable to your laptop
