Hello. I need your advices/suggestions since I am helping someone with
his PDA setup and not a PDA expert.

I am looking for a free media player that can handle RealMedia and
Windows Media streaming clips over the Internet with WiFi, cellular
phone (PPP and dial-up account), etc. The PDA is a Palm Tungsten C
with PalmOS 5.

Also, he mainly want to be able to listen to daily streaming sermons
on http://www.oneplace.com/ministries/insight_for_living/ ... It seems
like the free RealPlayer from Real Networks doesn't handle streaming
medias according to
http://www.realnetworks.com/indust [...] ayer/palm/
(don't care about Music Store, etc.).

Thank you in advance. :)

Anyone? I am surprised no one answered. Is it because no players exist
for streaming medias? Or not popular for PDAs?

IME, streaming media is a rough thng for PCs with broadband. Don't yet
understand the desire to run it on a PDA.

Well, for my father, he would like to listening to daily Christian sermons
that are available on the Internet on his PDA with WiFi. Waiting an airport
would be an example.

The only streaming formats currently supported on Palm OS are Shoutcast
(streaming MP3) and Kinoma Video. Shoutcast is supported by Pocket
Tunes Deluxe ($25). I have seen no streaming RealMedia or Windows Media
players yet, although PocketTunes Deluxe 3.0 (coming soon) should
support Windows Media on a storage card.

Thanks. I guess I will tell him there none exists right now. Heh, he is
trying to make his PDA like a computer. He even tries to play movie
trailers. :I
