I`M offering a very rare microphone set from manufacturer AKG /
Telefunken from the early sixties. It has a logo from the Telefunken
brand AEG.
The name of the model is D19 ( D 19 D-19 ) and its well known from the
Beatles and other famous artists from the sixties. There were
different designs distributed: The D19b D19 BK / HI D19c and D19e.
This model is the very rare gold version D19 BK / HI .
The D19 was offered with and without accessories. This is the version
with accessories + extras !!!
So this absolutely original set includes:
D19 microphone, version BK/HI with cable. The original DIN 3 pin
connector was changed to XLR.
microphone clamp SA1
microphone stand ST19
original box for the mic
original box for the whole set
+ Extra`s:
different D19 manuals / data sheets / schematics
The condition:
Its nearly mint !
The sound:
overwhelming ! Its so versatile with its bass roll-off switch. It
enables you to have it rearly fat but also clearness and transparency.
At least I can imagine using it also as an overhead microphone.
The Beatles used this microphone for overhead in the Abbey Road
Studio and John used it live (additionally?) for vocals.
Some technical facts:
Frequency response 40-16.000 Hz. With a control knob you can change
between "music and speech" (adjustable bass roll-off / lowcut filter).
