My cousin had a completely unused visor that had been with him for
about 2 years. I took it from him and used it for about a week. All
of a sudden one morning it was completely dead. The batteries had
been completely drained. When I put a fresh set in, I got the logo
screen but machine was completly frozen. Soft or Hard reset did not
help at all. Now when I put batteries in, I just get random spots on
the screen and nothing else. Any help will be much appreciated.

It may be more serious than this, but you might try reseating the
ribbon cable on the screen. They sometimes work loose. There are
disassembly instructions at the below link:

Thanks. The ribbon cable was ok but noticed some corrosion and leakage
from batteries. Cleaned that up but apparently problem is that none
of the keys work. Digitizer works well but I cant turn the unit off
nor do the other physical keys work.
