Password or Security code

Hi, I didn't set a password or security code when I connected my wireless router. Now I can't get on the internet with my lap top. I contacted Motorola, but what they told me to do didn't bring me to the set up page. I'm not very computer literate, and I'm ready to take the whole lot back to the store!! Can anyone help me?
