Issues with Myst V Demo

I have two systems here - a 64-bit PC running XP Pro SP2 and a G5 Power Mac.
The demo runs fine on my Mac (though the cursor movement is somewhat
glacial, though that can be partly alleviated by using 'classic plus'). On my
PC however, as soon as I move forward towards the 'bubble' containing the
linking lectern my system reboots (and no serious error message upon
restart). I would presume that the reboot is linked to my graphics card (an
X800 XT PE) which is running the latest Catalyst (5.8). I've also updated my
sound card driver (Audigy ZS Platinum) but that has appeared to have
exacerbated the issue (it now reboots just after the Cyan logo). Rest of
specs follow at the end of this message.

My Mac also has a Radeon (9650) which doesn't have ATI drivers.

FX-55
2GB RAM
2x75GB Raptors
400GB Caviar

I've tried sliding the hardware acceleration down notch-by-notch but it
hasn't helped. Anyone else having issues?

Cheers

I ran the demo on Radeon 9800Pro and Audigy 2. Didn't run into this
issue.

Does your PC often reboot in real-time 3D games ? If yes, it might be
an overheating issue or some glitch in your system RAM.

Can you try changing the SmartGART options in Catalyst drivers ?
Specifically, try running your card at AGP 4x instead of 8x.

You can also check whether you are overriding DirectX screen refresh
rate in the Catalyst drivers. Some games don't like that.
