Mobo has three ram slots, currently two are filled with 128 sticks, one is Infineon and other is Crucial. I want to upgrade RAM to 512 and was wondering how I should go about doing so. Get two 256 sticks of same brand (any suggestions?) or one 512 stick. Note that I have three slots. Also, I read that putting in two sticks in slot 0 and 2 instead of 0 and 1 will improve performance. True? Thanks in advance!

Will that be stable though? I've heard that that can cause some problems. If anyone's tried it though, let me know. Adding in a 256 stick with current ones would be very good. As long as its stable.

With three sticks at 100Mhz it will work, at 133Mhz it will probably work. 512Mb sticks can cause problems with this chipset.

I have an Asus 815 board which functions with three sticks at 133Mhz but with Intel you will probably have to keep to the specs.
