Hello!
I'm wanting to put two routers behind one modem in my house. The modem and one router are in an upstairs bedroom and I want another router in the basement connected via power line. My only problem is needing to split the connection coming out of the modem. I've noticed some power line kits with a built in switch and would like to avoid buying a dedicated one. So my question is: Can I use the power line as a switch to share my connection? My setup would look like this,
Modem v
Router < Powerline satellite < Poweline base (w/ switch) > Router

Thanks in advance!

The woman who I spoke with checked with a tech and said that they can do that. I think the only question I have is a hardware one. What's the best way to split the connection coming from my modem? Could a power line kit with a switch at the receiving end be used as the base to split the connection and the other as a satellite? Or are these power line kits "one way"? I'd like to avoid buying a switch.
