I went to a computer show on Saturday and my friend found the only PC1066 Kingston RDRAM there. I was left with memory from a company called NTX which I bought. Anyone ever here of them? Are they a sub company for a larger one? Me and a friend also bought a GA-8IHXP and I was up till 4:00am trying to get the damn thing to work correctly. Don't know if it is the mobo, the ram, or drive. Hopefully tomorrow will bring new hope!!!

Is his system up and yours down? If so, you could test yours on his and vice versa. I wouldn't trust generic PC1066.

Actually his was down a whole day. We both went to the PC show on Saturday. He picked up Kingston 1066 and I got NTX 1066. Funny thing is I had no problems whatsoever. His memory was more expensive and turned out to be garbage. We ran Memtest v3.0 and he had errors coming out of his ass. I ran the same test and came up golden. I know there is an issue with some of Kingston's 256 1066 modules and I think my buddy got some bad sticks. He's going to call Kingston tomorrow and see what they say.

Yes, Kingston did have some bad sticks, he will probably get perfect replacements.

The Kingston 256MB sticks of PC1066 RDRAM are backordered. Unfortunately, they are not due in until 11/8/02! (I have a GA-8IHXP2 board, P4-2.53 (533) cpu, Lan-Li PC60 case, 550W Enermax PSU, 2 WD1200JB, Radeon 9700 Pro, et. al., sitting in several boxed on the living room floor waiting for the memory to arrive.)

So far the NTX memory is rock solid. Guess I got lucky!
