Hey Guys I want to put an optical input into my receiver that comes from my Audigy-2 Soundcard, but it doesn't have an optical out just a digital mini jack out.

How would I do this? My receiver is the Yamaha HTR-5590 and doesnt have a mini jack in Just Optical and other inputs at less quality. But I hear there are cables where on One End theres Optical and the other end is the Mini Jack... Is this true? If So... Who manufactures these kinds of cables, and what would you recommend I do?

You mean your audio card has a "digital coaxial" output, known in the computer industry as SP-DIF, using a single RCA type connector? I have heard of Digital Coaxial to Optical adapters, but they are expensive. I suggest you get the digital daughter board for your soundcard instead.

2 Dixie cups and string should suit you perfectly.

I think the Platinum version breakout box has an optical out. You should be able to get it separately.

BTW, how do you like the Audigy 2? So far there's only one review on the Web and I'm eagerly awaiting more. That review is very positive and mentions a significant improvement in sound quality over the Audigy.
