Hi,

I'm looking for a 17" TFT and i've been reading on THG about the 16ms vs 20ms issue. I read that the 16ms panels only display 16.2 million colours as opposed to 16.7 million for a 20ms panel.

The Acer AL1721 claims 16ms response time and 16.7 million colours (check out the acer website www.acer.com) does this mean it's not one of the 16ms panels reviewed and there will be no flickering in order to display all the colours as with the AU Optronics panel?

This monitor sounds too good to be true given that it also has a DVI connector and sells for under £300 here in the UK!

Does anyone know if this monitor really does show 16.7 million colours and whether or not it is any good?
