Ok, so i get home from class and my computer is running fine, until i try to run a virus scan. It freezes so I reset and now it just pauses at the HPT 372 bios. It stops after it detects no drives on the first channel. Usually it will go through and show 4 drive positions. It only shows 2 now. I suppose there are some things I could try, but just to make sure, does this sound like hardware failure to you guys? I will post back later if something comes up, thanks for the reply.

most likely, it has been 2 days now and it hasnt happend again, so it is probably fine. Just one question: Is it reccommended to use norton ghost t put windows on my array from a single drive or would it just work best to install a fresh copy?

Norton Ghost cannot save an image to an NTFS partition. To use Norton Ghost you will need a small FAT/FAT32 partition to save your images to.
I recommend PowerQuest Drive image instead, since that can save images to NTFS partitions. I use it on my array to snapshot the boot partition. If something screws up WXP, I just reload the image. Works perfectly, and takes only a few minutes.

Also note: When you restore an image, the cluster size and filesystem is also restored. So if you didnt make the image of an installation with same clustersize that you want on your array, you should do a fresh install.
