Is there anyway to force a given write speed with any of the software out there? I have some older blue/green disks that burned fine at 12X on my old drive that are now forced to 8X, and new 32X disks that are forced to 16X. I guess a future firmware upgrade with more intermediate speeds would help. Any other options other than different disks?

Just noticed new firmware for the drive on the Yamaha site. It adds 24 and 32X speeds so this should solve the problem.
