Wanting to build a smoothwall firewall

Hello,
I recently decided to build a home network firewall, because I just don't like the limited controls I have with my current linksys router. I was wondering about hardware compatibility with Smoothwall. I like the Jetway NF9HQL-525 Atom D525 ,mainly due to the quad onboard lan. I also want to add a wireless nic, but not real sure on which N class wireless nics are smoothwall friendly. If anyone has any advice that would be most appreciated.
