Janes' USAF no run after SP2?

Hi, All,

I cranked Jane's USAF up just recently for the first time in months, and there is no
correct HUD, almost random placement of numbers, weird mouse behavior, and my Dell
went into overdrive on the fan, so the thing must have gone nuts on heat.

The only thing that's changed in this @ year-old system of any importance since USAF
last ran fine is SP2, which hasn't given me any other problems. Red Baron, EAW,
Crimson Sky, MCM1&2 all still work. Jane's WW2 is also OK, but for weird blocks
around all the superimposed text, also not present prior to SP2. This is the system,
any ideas; patches? (Trying to find a web site for EA is a non-starter.)

Lot's of discussion over there about this game. Recent updates to it as
