What is biylocker recovery key id

i have a birlocker locked acer windows ultimate........ i have the recovery key id but no recovery key. what does the it do for me, can i get my recovery key somehow?.......jhblaikie

If your device is locked but you don't have the recovery key, your only option is to wipe the deivce and reload windows. This will also result in a loss of all data on the device.
