Very slow wireless internet and other problems.

First problem: When I start-up my computer, it takes over an hour to find my router on my computer (Not on my brother's computer, or the computer upstairs). Once it does, it connect perfectly. This is very annoying because I do not have a lot of time anyway to work/play and when I do, it takes over an hour to find the router.

Second problem: Recently, I have been having HUGE lag spikes, constantly disconnecting from games and skype calls.

I am on Virgin, I have the super hub and I pay for 60mbs

Network card - 802.11n Wireless LAN Card
Operating System - Windows 7
Security Software - Kaspersky

The main problem is the first one. It's so frustrating! I just don't want to turn off my pc because I know when i turn it back on, it will take me an hour+ to find my internet.

Anyway, going to bed, will check to see if there are any replies tomorrow

There could be a problem with your Wireless LAN adapter associated with your computer. Re-install the drivers for it or call tech support from whoever manufactured that LAN adapter.

Could you post what speed you get? http://www.speedtest.net/ . If you are close to the router then you could try and use an ethernet cable. If not, try using a powerline adapter.
