My linksys router is locked cant configure

my WRT54G Linksys router works with wifi and local connection but it wont let me configure to change it to PPpoe nor wont let me enable a wireless connection, so it's open to the public how do i get it to open it resetting it and holding the button on the router for 30 secs. isn't helping whats next?

Reset to factory setting and take it from the top...
