First time purchasing router?

Hey,

My father has finally getting wireless broadband internet, before hand was just pre paid internet and I informed him you can get a much better deal cheaper if you set up a broadband internet. He is getting someone to come in and set it up but he needs to buy a router first. I just need some advice on the best entry level routers. He streams videos and downloads frequently so I am not sure whether that would effect the type of router he gets. These are the stores he wanted to buy one from (Australian)

will the modem be provided by the ISP?

is it cable or DSL internet?

what is you budget?

Thanks for replying, it is DSL and the modem has not been provided which he will need a router with an integrated modem under $200 is what he is looking at.

I would get this one; however, call your ISP and make sure it is compatible with their system
