Hello,

I'm thinking about buying the Linksys EA4500-RM refurbed for about $90 @Cisco/Linksys' website. However, I'm wondering if it would be better to just buy a brand new one? Definately need a router that won't disconnect often and can stream hd.

Please help me.!:)

I like refurbs. That means it was made, went through quality control and went to the consumer. Now something happens that causes an RMA, and that could be anything from bad solder joints to some uneducated yahoo who doesn't know how to use something, so they call it "broken".

Now said part goes BACK to the company, where they check it out, fix whatever failed if that's the case, went BACK through QC again and out to the consumer, this time though with possibly new components... AND it's usually like half the price!!

So sign me up, I'll buy refurb over new 9 times out of 10 (There are exceptions of course, but a router? Hell yeah, my house has been running for 2-3 years on a refurb Linksys WRT120!)
